EPISCOPAL 101/BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER CLASS SCHEDULED
Two intensive sessions for the Episcopal 101 class have been scheduled (both sessions constitute one class) in February. The dates are February 16th and 23rd from 9:30 am until 1:00 pm. This class is designed for those wishing to be confirmed (12-18 years of age) or received into the Episcopal Church (adults who have been baptized). If it is your desire to join St. Francis and the Episcopal Church then taking this class is necessary but it will be fun! If you have been baptized (with water and in the name of the Trinity) and are an adult (18 or older) you may be received into the church. If you are a child (12-18) who was baptized as an infant/child then you will need to be confirmed. This class is also open to anyone wanting to be baptized or just as a refresher for those who have been in the Episcopal Church for some time. Once this class is taken we will go to The Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta on March 17th after the 11:15 am service. The Bishop will there receive, confirm, or baptize you as is appropriate.
