WELCome home

No matter who you are, or where you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome here. We reflect the fullness of Our Creator’s love by welcoming you regardless of race, gender, age, culture, ethnic background, sexual orientation, economic circumstances, family configuration or differences in ability. You are encouraged to share your gifts and talents in worship, service, study, and leadership.

Our membership includes young families, senior citizens, college students, young adults, and singles. We are diverse in terms not only of age, but also of race, lifestyle, economic circumstance, political ideology, and theological beliefs.

Our ministries page describes all of the ways that we bring the love and joy of Christ to visitors and members of our parish, to the Middle Georgia community, and beyond Middle Georgia.

Our History

Born in 1959, St. Francis is Macon’s youngest Episcopal Church and the only Episcopal Church in North Macon. Our Diocese planted us in this growing part of town to be the Episcopal presence in North Macon. In the 1970’s, we merged with the Church of the Messiah, and moved into our present building, which formerly housed the Appleton Children’s Home. Today, our members come from as far north as Barnesville and as far south as Bonaire.
